Grafton Energy Choice offers two options:

As a new participant, you will be automatically enrolled in Energy Choice Basic, which provides the lowest price in the program.
The Energy Choice Green option is available by request and provides 100% of your electricity from renewable sources.

As a participant in Grafton Energy Choice, your electricity supplier will be First Point Power.

If you are eligible for a low-income discount or fuel assistance, you continue to receive that benefit as a participant in Grafton Energy Choice.

If you have National Grid’s Budget Plan, it continues to apply to your total bill.

What happens in November 2027?

The Town intends to sign a new, long-term contract when the contract with First Point Power expires. The Town will announce the new prices before they take effect, and your account will be automatically enrolled at the new price for your program option unless you opt out or choose a different option.

Energy Choice Standard has been retired and is no longer open to new enrollments. All participants in Energy Choice Standard will be automatically transferred to Energy Choice Basic as of November 2026. Learn more about this change.

Please note: Some industrial accounts may not be eligible for program pricing at the time of enrollment and may instead be offered market pricing.

Compare to National Grid

Grafton Energy Choice offers long-term prices, but National Grid’s prices change seasonally. It is normal for Grafton’s prices to be lower than National Grid sometimes and higher at other times. The goal of Grafton Energy Choice is to provide savings when compared with the average of National Grid’s changing prices.
