Natick Electricity Aggregation Program benefits
Using the group buying power of our community, the Natick Electricity Aggregation Program provides Natick residents and businesses with:
Three consumer-friendly options
Through the Natick Electricity Aggregation Program, you have three choices for the electricity supply part of your bill. You automatically receive an additional 14% of your electricity from renewable sources. You can also choose to receive 100% of your electricity from renewable sources or to receive just the minimum from renewable sources required by law.
Long-term, stable electricity supply prices
The Natick Electricity Aggregation Program offers long-term prices for the electricity supply part of your bill. The current prices will end in December, and the program will move to a new, 24-month contract with prices that are fixed until December 2027. In comparison, Eversource’s prices change every 6 months or less, which exposes you to seasonal price spikes.
The potential for savings
Participating in the Natick Electricity Aggregation Program gives you the potential for savings compared with Eversource’s Basic Service prices. According to a report by UMass Amherst, the majority of communities with aggregation programs do see some savings compared with Eversource’s prices. However, Natick’s prices are long-term fixed prices, and Eversource’s prices change every 6 months or less. As a result, savings compared with Eversource can never be guaranteed. Price calculator.
Consumer protections, like the freedom to leave at any time with no fee or penalty
The Natick Electricity Aggregation Program has been designed with consumer protections. Chief among them, the program has no hidden fees, and you have the freedom to opt out of, or leave, the program at any time with no fee or penalty. This feature makes the program different from many private electricity supply contracts, which may include minimum participation periods and early-termination fees.
