Using the group buying power of our community, Beverly Community Electric provides Beverly residents and businesses with:

100% renewable electricity for less than National Grid

Beverly Community Electric automatically provides 100% of your electricity from renewable sources for a price that is lower than National Grid’s current residential price (though future savings cannot be guaranteed).

 

Stable electricity prices

Beverly Community Electric offers long-term electricity supply prices. The current prices will end in January, and the program will move to new, 22-month prices that are fixed until November 2027. In comparison, National Grid’s Basic Service prices change every 6 months or less, which can expose you to seasonal spikes in electricity prices. Participating in Beverly Community Electric will make your electricity supply price predictable and stable and can protect you from seasonal spikes.

 

Three electricity supply choices

Through Beverly Community Electric, you have three choices for your electricity supply, giving you greater control over the price and environmental impact of the electricity you buy. You can automatically receive 100% renewable electricity from sources both within and outside of New England, or you can choose to receive 100% renewable electricity from sources that are all within the New England region or just the minimum from renewable sources required by law.

 

Consumer protections

Beverly Community Electric offers the consumer protections that come with a regulated, municipal offering. Chief among them, the program has no hidden fees, and you have the freedom to opt out of, or leave, the program at any time with no fee or penalty. This feature makes the program different from many private electricity supply contracts, which may include minimum participation periods and early-termination fees.
