Program prices

Watertown Electricity Choice offers three options. As a new program participant, you will be automatically enrolled in Standard and will receive 100% of your electricity from renewable sources. Two other options are available by request.

Your electricity supplier will be Direct Energy. See how the program will appear on your Eversource bill.

If you are eligible for a low-income discount or fuel assistance, you will continue to receive that benefit with no change.

If you are enrolled in Eversource’s Budget Billing, it will continue to apply to your total bill.

What happens in December 2026?

The new prices will automatically go into effect in December 2026 for active program participants. If your account is enrolled, you will first see the new price on your January 2027 Eversource bill.

Watertown Electricity Choice offers long-term prices, but Eversource’s prices change seasonally. It is normal for Watertown’s prices to be lower than Eversource sometimes and higher at other times. The goal of Watertown Electricity Choice is to provide savings when compared with the average of Eversource’s changing prices.
