Opt Out

You may choose not to participate in the program. This is called opting out. There is no penalty for opting out, and you may opt out at any time. If you choose to opt out, your account will return to your utility’s (either Eversource or National Grid) Basic Service for your electricity supply.

You may re-enroll after opting out, but please note that you may not receive the Bellingham Power Choice price. The electricity supplier is entitled to charge you a market price for the remainder of the current electricity supply contract, but you would receive the Bellingham Power Choice price for any future electricity supply contracts. If the program’s electricity supplier decides to charge market pricing, you will be notified before enrollment and can decide then whether to continue with enrollment or not.

To find it, 1) look in the blue left column of your bill, 2) locate the Enrollment Information section, and 3) find the word "Cycle." Your name key is listed after your cycle number in capital letters. Your meter number can be found on the second page of your bill, on the left side in the bottom left corner of the blue and green box that contains your service address.
