Your options

All new Eversource electricity accounts will be automatically enrolled in the 100% Green option and will receive 100% renewable electricity, unless they choose a different option or opt out of the program. 100% Green includes 20% from “premium” renewable energy sources in the New England region, in addition to the minimum amount required by state law.

  • If you wish to receive 100% of renewable electricity and to receive all of it from “premium” renewable energy sources in the New England region, choose the New England Green option.
  • If you do not want 100% renewable energy, choose Basic.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires that all electricity supply products include a minimum of 59.2% from renewable energy resources in 2023, including 22% from “premium” renewable energy projects in the New England region (MA Class I RECs). Basic meets this minimum requirement. 100% Green and New England Green exceed this requirement by providing 100% renewable electricity. The program’s electricity supplier is required to provide an energy mix disclosure label that offers details about all of the sources of electricity provided. Visit the Resources page to download the most recent label.
