Opt Out

You may choose not to participate in the program. This is called opting out. There is no penalty for opting out, and you may opt out at any time. If you choose to opt out, you will be switched back to National Grid Basic Service for your electricity supply.

If you opt out and then wish to opt back into the program, you may re-enroll, but please note that you may not receive the Chelmsford Choice price. The electricity supplier is entitled to charge you a market price for the remainder of the current electricity supply contract, but you would receive the Chelmsford Choice price for any future electricity supply contracts. If the program’s electricity supplier decides to charge market pricing, you will be notified before enrollment and can decide then whether to continue with enrollment or not.

To opt out of the program, please complete and submit the form below, or call Customer Support at 1-844-483-5004 and tell them you want to opt out of the Chelmsford Choice program.

Be sure to use the name on the account and the account service address when completing the form.

Your name key is listed on your National Grid bill, but it is not labelled. To find it, 1) look in the blue left column of your bill, 2) locate the Enrollment Information section, and 3) find the word "Cycle." Your name key is listed after your cycle number in capital letters. Your name key is typically the first 4 letters of the last name on a residential account, or the first 4 characters, including spaces, of the name on a commercial account.

Your name key can be found on the second page of your Eversource bill, directly beneath your account number. Your name key is typically the first 4 letters of the last name on a residential account, or the first 4 characters, including spaces, of the name on a commercial account.
