Your options

Your options are as follows. National Grid’s Basic Service prices are below for comparison:

  • Power Choice Standard is the least expensive offering within Sutton Power Choice and is the default. As a new participant in the program, you will be enrolled in Power Choice Standard unless you choose the Power Choice Green option.
  • Power Choice Green is an option that provides all (100%) of your electricity from renewable sources for a small additional premium.
  • Opt out of the program at any time with no fee or penalty if you do not wish to participate.

All new electricity customers in Sutton will be automatically enrolled in Power Choice Standard on a periodic basis and after receiving a notification letter from the Town.

Electricity supplier: Sutton’s current electricity supplier is: Constellation. If you participate in Sutton Power Choice, you will see Constellation listed on your National Grid electricity bill as your electricity supplier. See an example National Grid bill.

Electricity mix: The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires that all electricity supply products include a minimum of 59.2% from renewable energy resources in 2023. Power Choice Standard meets the minimum requirement. Power Choice Green exceeds this requirement. The program’s electricity supplier is required to provide an energy mix disclosure label that offers details about all of the sources of electricity provided. Visit the Resources page to download the most recent label.

Please note:

Prices for Power Choice Standard and Power Choice Green include a $0.001/kWh administration fee. Program prices apply only to the electricity supply portion of your National Grid electricity bill.
