Your options

Your options are as follows. National Grid’s Basic Service prices are below for comparison.

  • Power Choice Standard is the least-expensive option within Sutton Power Choice and is the default offering. As a new participant in the program, you will be enrolled in Power Choice Standard unless you choose the Power Choice Green option.
  • Power Choice Green is an option that provides all (100%) of your electricity from renewable sources for a small, additional premium.
  • Opt out of the program at any time with no fee or penalty if you do not wish to participate.

Electricity supplier: Sutton’s current electricity supplier is: Constellation NewEnergy. If you participate in Sutton Power Choice, you will see Constellation NewEnergy listed on your National Grid electric bill as your electricity supplier. See an example National Grid bill.

Electricity mix: The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires that all electricity supply products include a minimum of 62% from renewable energy resources in 2024, 63% in 2025, and 69% in 2026. Power Choice Standard meets the minimum requirement. Power Choice Green exceeds this requirement. The program’s electricity supplier is required to provide an energy mix disclosure label that offers details about all of the sources of electricity provided. Visit the Resources page to download the most recent label.

Please note:

Prices for Power Choice Standard and Power Choice Green include a $0.001/kWh administrative fee. Program prices could increase as a result of a change in law that results in a direct, material increase in costs during the term of the electricity supply agreement. Program prices apply only to the Supply Services portion of your National Grid electric bill. Delivery Services charges on your National Grid electric bill are not affected by the Sutton Power Choice program.
